Hey Steve, Length of a keyword are most important & search volume. There are so many types of keywords like phase one to five or six phase keywords with different values with the low competition & gives more returns & we should have identified how many keywords is valuable. I have seen fewer search completion & high value which generates good revenue.

Yes, I agree with you "competitive keyword can take more customers than long tail keywords". Long Tail Keywords are easier to rank in search engines and within short span of time, however competitive Keywords requires lot of effort and takes long time.
