Before you can decide on a framework for your project you should first understand its needs, its requirements. CodeIgniter because it’s relatively easy to learn, delivers lightning fast page loads, has tonnes of advanced features and has a very large and active community.

    01) CodeIgniter is a powerful PHP framework with a very small footprint, built for PHP coders who need a simple and elegant toolkit to create full-featured web applications.
    02) CakePHP is a rapid development framework for PHP that provides an extensible architecture for developing, maintaining, and deploying applications.
    03) Extending the art & spirit of PHP, Zend Framework is based on simplicity, object-oriented best practices, corporate friendly licensing, and a rigorously tested agile codebase.

The framework must have little learning and easy to expand. I am using http://sourceforge.net/projects/naanalframework/ for all my projects. There is no installation. Just has to point the frameworks naanal.php in your application's index.php and run it. The framework will guide you what to do. For the beginer, this framework is very useful to develop PHP applications. A sample application also available at http://sourceforge.net/projects/naan...r.zip/download
