10-15 Years? Hopefully I'll be dead by then...
    Thousand different paths
    So many sterile ends
    I chose the Devil's path

Never shall the sun kiss my face
And caress me with it's burning light
For I dwell in the shadows
And sleep side by side with death

By then hopefully most people will have stopped using M$ Explorer 6.x.

Plus SVG and XHTML will be mainstream - see I am on much more stronger mind-bending drugs.

    So,

I guess the moral of the story is that sometimes when you have an idea, you dwell on it.

Thanks for all your input everyone, im not on drugs, but I do love the addictive ability to enhance the users experiences on the web, though at times it is treacherous and tricky. Well, Thank god for monitors.

u can do virtual reality right now. www.asheronscall.com OR The Sims.

asheronscall does that all except without the helmet. you create a character with personalized features and u can change ur armor clothes weapons and much much more to make your character personalized then you can walk around and jump on stuff and fight people and wade through water and do many things. this is, a virtual reality. u interact with things that resemble real life and control a character that resembles you. ergo, VIRTUAL REALITY.

What you want is simply a virtual reality like asherons call in which you have a higher grasp on your environment. in asheronscall you can change the way your character is looking, but not by simply turning your head. thats what you want. virtual reality with greater ability to effect your environment.

and for what u want, u would need not only a helmet, but motion detectors, and sensors at your wrists, elbows, hips, chest, sholders, knees, and feet to tell the "virtual room" what u are doing. not just a helmet.

im sure u could do it right now, as they already have software that can handle it, for they make computer generate movies using such suits. but it would be like one of those 2 way webcams. they have their own software and ports and are not really part of the internet, but rather their own browser. unless u consider all things that use connections internet. but then your phone would be an internet browser too, wouldn't it? they would be an internet application if u could open simple html documents tho. mayby your browser could interpret it in a way that automatically made it move for you if you turned your head and mayby let you move your hand to click buttons instead of using a mouse.

you should indeed get your termanology right. makes things less confusing.

Everytime we lie awake... after every hit we take.. every feeling that i get.. but i haven't missed you yet. only when I stop to think about it... I.. HATE.. EVERYTHING ABOUT YOU! Why do.. you cant really say what 10-15 years from now will be like...

as Thomas Watson (ex. IBM president) once said
"I think there is a world market for maybe five computers."
    how wrong he was.
This was when america had built their first computer.

Bill gates once said, right before windows 95 came out "I do not think anyone could ever need more then", crap I am going to misquote him, well it was something like, "1gb of hard drive space"

    See the bottom one...

Oh, and I know its not 10-15 years, but the computer used to drive the first mission to the moon (apollo 11?) had something like 32K of RAM...

Now you can buy PCs with 1GB of RAM. I think that impressive!

"WWW? Nice toy, but what a waste of time." (1995) -- bill gates
    What's a network?" (mid 1980s, source:Interview with Acorn's Herman Hauser) -- bg
    this one is the best
"Like almost everyone who uses e-mail, I receive a ton of spam every day. Much of it offers to help me get out of debt or get rich quick. It would be funny if it weren't so exciting." -- bill gates
LOL. Even bill gets good morgage rates!
