The SEO is the same, you just target local keywords.Local SEO optimizing your web pages, targeting or focusing on particular area which is known as Geo Traffic. Generally when we do SEO it considered as visitors from global or any other particular. Same strategy can be used for Geo Target also.

Global seo that means launching a multilingual website is one step in establishing a truly global online presence.
Local seo that means Local SEO techniques simply aim to get your name, website and business in front of the people that are most likely to use it those that are physically located near it. Think of it as the local section of your yellow pages.

Both SEOs are organic. I think you've been reading wrong stuffs folk. As long as you are working on the serp, be it local and global, you are aiming for organic search rankings.

To create multilingual websites is the choice for the global SEO technique, but when you are targeting your business world wide and using that kind of keyword then its called the global SEO. Its a little bit difficult to rank. In local SEO you are simply aim to to local area with your keyword and some place its easy to rank.

Well in general local seo is now way more harder to be done. Earlier you could only buy links or use some semi/full automatic tools to make a lot of backlinks from public directories or PBN.
Now, after Google cut everything (or a lot of possible options to make links) webmasters need to rethink their idea of getting links.

I've read nice article recently: http://www.linkresearchtools.com/cas...-business-smb/ which provides some nice ideas.

Personally I'm working a lot offline to make contacts, help people and promote my business. You won't believe - it works for online too.
Also it's important to find and use proper local directories. Most of them allow us to add map, address or get ratings from users. And also they are doing SEO too so if they rank high they can bring traffic to you (traffic > rank) - it's better to own referalls sometimes instead of spammy linkbuilding tactics).

About global SEO - well it depends on niche. But also here quality over quantity and it will work.

Local SEO means targeting a particular area/country, Global SEO means targeting globally. If we target a particular place we can add that place in our meta tags so that we can get result according to it. Globally targeting is not so easy, and we need to do lot of stuff for both of it.

Global SEO focuses on large scale generic keywords to get traffic to a website from a worldwide target audience. While Local SEO focuses on the small businesses that are only for specific area or city.
