Page ads and button designs

Hello everyone, simple question here.

I'm looking for creative and colorful images that I can place text on for scrolling ads and other images around a website.

I need to know what the correct term is for a scrolling ad background and other types of images with text over them. (What to search for?)

Any reputable places to get these types of images?

I know of iStockphoto, however many of them cannot apply to my purpose.

Also, along the same topic.. Where to find good button and icon images?

Paid or free, just hoping to hear some suggestions from people who have had a good experience with a particular website/company for this.
