List over javascript commands

I am used to programming PHP - and php.net is a perfect spot for getting an overview over programming commands - so is there a similar place for javascript - or somewhere where javascript commands are listed and explained

I am in the learning phase so I am constantly puzzled over all commands like
document.getElementById
document.forms

So I curious of how many other possibilities are available.
