Someone please help this is driving me insane

For about an hour i can't see why I can't get my slideshow flush to the left side of the white canvas and my enquiry form flush to the right

I have both floats set, the slideshow left the enquiry right but it's failing to do it

hi ive got it working in firefox but in ie the div of the contact form appears to wide and renders a different size?
