While in windows hosting a website is hosted on the server use operation system of Microsoft windows. It supports for Front page, FP extension and more additional features.

Selection of windows or linux depends on your need that means what you want to use ASP or .NET in this case you should choose windows otherwise you can use cheaper hosting platform of linux.

Linux is different server and windows is different if you are performing a regular task..than linux is best and if you need a better graphics then windows is the best....
