    Divs overlapping

    On my site which I have only started building i have implemented a jquery slider on the homepage but i think there is a problem with the divs or something, they totally overlap, not too sure why, it also displays strangely in firefox. Does anyone know why, the site is www.cherrietestingwebsite.org, thanks.

    are you wanting the text that shows up at the bottom to all be hidden?

    If so try setting a height to the container div

    Hi there delboy1875,

    in your "styleslider.css" file, add the highlighted attribute and the height value shown here...
    Code:

    #banner {
        width:962px;
        height:437px;
        clear:both;
     }
    ...to the rule.

    Also note that if you are going to use these type of attributes...
    Code:

        data-thumb="../themes/toystory.jpg"
        data-transition="slideInLeft"
    ...then you should change this...
    Code:

    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
    <!DOCTYPE html
         PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Strict//EN"
        "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-strict.dtd">
    <html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml" xml:lang="en" lang="en">
      <head>
    ...to this...
    Code:

    <!DOCTYPE html>
    <html lang="en">
    <head>
    <meta charset="utf-8">

    Looking to show content underneath slider

    No am not looking to overlap the text beneath i am looking for the text to show beneath the slider and slider dots, it seems to overlap, as if the text appears behind the slider dots, think it seems to be a problem with the two divs but don't really know how to go about fixing it?

    Hi there delboy1875,

    you appear to have overlooked the answer to your woes that I provided.

    Of course, you may have chosen to just disregard it altogether.
