    link question

    dear everyone, i know that this post is not php but i dont know where to put it..

    all that i need is to know how to change the link from
    http://www.example.com?category1=aut...egory3=elkersh
    to
    www.example.com/automotives/cardeelers/elkersh

    using htacess file

    This is usually done with settings in your website's .htaccess file. If you search on "htaccess seo friendly urls" you should find some examples. But be very careful to back-up your original .htaccess file before making any changes to it. Errors in your .htaccess file can easily make your website inaccessible, so you want to be able to restore it quickly and easily.

    You could change the format using .htacess but you'd only get 404 replies from your server

    Your htaccess rule will probably look something like

    Code:
    RewriteRule ^([a-z]+)/([a-z]+)/([a-z]+)$ /index.php?category1=$1&category2=$2&category3=$3
    assuming that your category parameters are composed of lower case letters.
