    Html Catalog

I have to display 3 columns and 3 rows of images with description.

The best way to make it is to use a table?

It will work but you should only use table when you are displaying tabular data, otherwise using div tag is still a best practice

Rather than a table, I suggest using position:absolute. That allows you to explicitly set where you want each image to be displayed. It can be a lot easier than trying to get static divs and imgs to behave. Also, if you want the images to auto-size, set their width to a % of the containing div, and do not set their height.
