    hi there,

i want to know what is the best way to keep the original record in MySQL database, when some one request to update an existing record or want to delete a record.

Instead of updating the existing record, insert a new record. For this to work, you need to include a timestamp field that gets set to NOW(), and when selecting the current information you grab only the latest record.
    SELECT * FROM table_name WHERE user_id = 123 ORDER BY timestamp_column DESC LIMIT 1
