    unable to align border and list in sub level of nav bar

    I am trying to build a vertical menu but I am having problems with aligning the border and the list of links for the sub menu. You can see what I mean on this link

    The sub menu doesn't align with the top of the main menu either.
    If I try move the mouse to hover over the sub menu the sub menu disappears.

    I also can't get the main urls nearer to the top of the block.

    Can someone put me out of my misery by showing me what needs to be done> Thanks

    The css code :
    Code:
    #menu {
         position: relative;
         top: 20px;
         left: 30px;
         padding-left: 10px;
         padding-right: 10px;
         height: 280px;
        width: 130px;
         margin-top: 2px;
        padding-bottom:20px;
        padding-left: 0px;
        padding-right: 30px;
        border-color: #D5D6FF;
        border-style: outset;
        background-color: #fffff0;
        border-width: 4px;
        text-align: left;
     }
    #menu ul {
        padding: 4px;
        font-family: Arial,Verdana;
        font-size: 1.50em;
        list-style: none;
        background: #fffff0;

    Thanks for your help. I've made a few cosmetic changes so that it matches the rest of the elements that are in the container.

    No problem, you're very welcome.

    I tried to keep it as basic as possible, so that you would
    not have to many problems with the cosmetics.
