I ran into a small problem concerning the 'ondblclick' attribute of an option element.

Code:
var option = document.createElement('option');

if(checkBrowserName('MSIE')){
     alert('IE');
     option.ondblclick = function(){Suche_popup('Allgemeine');}; // for IE
} else{
     option.setAttribute('ondblclick','Suche_popup(\'Allgemeine\');'); // for FF
}

table.appendChild(option);
As you can see i want to have the function Suche_popup('Allgemeine') to be executed by having a doubleclick on my option element.
Testing the code in Opera works fine. In IE the 'IE' alert appears, but the event isn't set properly. Simply nothing happens on a dblclick.
Thanks for help.
