resolved [RESOLVED] Screen Size Vs. Screen Resolution

I'm trying to get the width of my screen in pixels using JavaScript.

    e.g. window.width, window.outerWidth, screen.width, screen.availWidth, etc.

The highest value I get back is 1280. However, my screen resolution is set at 1920 x 1080. So why doesn't JavaScript display 1920.

I'm using a Microsoft Surface Pro, Windows 8 and Internet Explorer 10.

    Hi bud

If your browser window is zoomed in then it will give you a different screen size, my guess is that you have your browser zoom set at 150%

That's it, you were right. I never even knew there was a zoom setting in the screen resolution panel - and it was set at 150%. And here's me thinking it was something really complicated.
