Which is correct, SaaS application or SaaS product?
which of the following do you think is correct one?
I have developed a SaaS application
I have developed a SaaS product?
I have developed a SaaS product -> would insinuate that the product was "made by" a company called Saas.
and how does the following statement sound ?
I have Launched my first SaaS product?
I don't know for sure which I would pick, but to help you decide, spell out the phrase that SaaS stands for, and see if that helps:
"I have just launched my first software-as-a-service product."
"I have just launched my first software-as-a-service application."
(Frankly, I don't have a problem with either one.)
ok, thanks for your inputs.
One more question:
Is "app" and "application" the same thing? or do they have a diff meaning technically?
As far as I know, they literally mean the same thing (app is just shorthand for application), but these days "app" seems to have developed the connotation of an application for mobile devices; so I'd probably choose based on whether you want that mobile connotation or not -- though people still often mention web apps, too.
