    Search page not working properly

    Hi, I have a search page (code below) and cannot figure out why it is not working or what is wrong with my code. Any help would be appreciated.
    Thanks
    PHP Code:

    require_once "../db/connect.php";

    $link $db->_impl;

    // Check connection
    if (mysqli_connect_errno())
      {
      echo
    "Failed to connect to MySQL: " mysqli_connect_error();
      }
    ?>
