Ecommerce Web Design Help
I've been trying to make edits to the html and css of a an ecommerce template. I downloaded the template files and found the html pages have code like this:
After some research I discovered that the code just references other pages and the site has a layout, panel and snippet structure.
Is there an organized way to approach this for someone that only has knowledge of HTML and CSS?
Thanks for your help!
As you found, such notations in a template system are instructions to the software to pull in content or components from other sources. The actual HTML mark-up is either generated by software or contained in other files. What exactly did you want to know?
i use zencart for my ecommerce store and i have found that any of those wordpress zencart or drupal sites typically point to a database. to make changes even to the css of my zencart store i have to locate the correct place in the database to make the change. these plugins are built in php and use mysql mostly.
