    Incorrect image positioning in different browsers...

    Hi there,

    I'm new to the forum so apologies if this question has been asked and answered but I couldn't find what I was looking for. I'm fairly new to HTML and CSS.

    Basically I have added an image to my HTML code and I am using an external stylesheet to alter the positioning of the image. However when I run the HTML page on different browsers, the position of the image changes.

    The code I am using is simply:

    position: absolute;
    left: 180px;
    bottom: 450px;
    I would like my image to be in the same place on all browsers.

    Please could someone offer some ideas/explanations to where I am going wrong.

    Many thanks!

    It could be the resolution of your browser. Also consider keeping your entire site held within a CSS Container.

    There's a good article here, and another one here.

    That actually worked a treat, thank you very much. Using a <div id="container"> and setting the CSS to position:relative sorted the mess out.

    Thanks for your help!
