Relying on Wordpress
I'm curious to see what others think about this subject/scenario...
My firm uses Wordpress....a lot...almost exclusively. If the website is more than one page and there is any chance of it ever needing to be updated, it goes on the projects board as a WP site. I deal with it because, well, I'm paid to. However, I was specifically recruited for experience in hand-coding and not doing template sites, yet most of the core design team hunts down a WP theme and tweaks it for whatever they are working on.
Is this just me taking it all a bit too seriously, or am I right in thinking it's a bit of a misnomer to say that a tweaked WP theme is a hand-coded website?
I'm not saying it's bad - it's a very good thing for a lot of sites, but not EVERY site. I came in with a bit of a predisposition to Joomla, but no one here has worked with Joomla or Drupal.
So I guess long story short - how does everyone feel on this subject? Am I overreacting to it?
You are doing a good work.
Wordpress is used by most of the people/webmasters/bloggers etc.
It is easy to use and it is SEO friendly.
