    paragraph tag with gradient bg? (IE issues)

    here is my css:
    Code:
    filter: "progid:DXImageTransform.Microsoft.gradient( startColorstr='#ffffff', endColorstr='#01d1cc',GradientType=0 )";
    background-image: -ms-linear-gradient(bottom, #01d1cc 0%, #ffffff 100%); /* IE10 Consumer Preview */
    background-image: -moz-linear-gradient(bottom, #01d1cc 0%, #ffffff 100%); /* Mozilla Firefox */
    background-image: -o-linear-gradient(bottom, #01d1cc 0%, #ffffff 100%); /* Opera */
    background-image: -webkit-gradient(linear, left bottom, left top, color-stop(0, #01d1cc), color-stop(1, #ffffff));
    background-image: -webkit-linear-gradient(bottom, #01d1cc 0%, #ffffff 100%); /* Webkit (Chrome 11+) */
    background-image: linear-gradient(to top, #01d1cc 0%, #ffffff 100%);
    this style is for a paragraph tag.. it works fine in Chrome and Firefox, but in IE no gradient shows whatsoever, it's just transparent... I'm wondering if IE9 and below just doesn't allow gradients for <p> elements?

    Hi there thewebiphyer,

    "linear-gradient" is first implemented in IE10.

    You might try the PIE .htc filter. It adds support for several popular CSS3 features to older versions of IE, including linear gradients. See http://css3pie.com/
