Urgent help - Redirect old URLs

We got our website done by a local company and they made a mess, There were multiple URLs to a single page and Google Webmaster Tool popped errors, showing duplication in title tags.

We immediately informed the company who did our website, They fixed the problem - created a unique url for each page, But now old urls won't work. Its been 3-4 days.

We've been trying to use .htaccess to 301 redirect each old url to new url manually, but its not working.

We're using the following .htaccess code

    RewriteRule ^http://carsizzler.com/news-detail/001831090/Hindustan-Motors-Inaugurates-Mitsubishi-Range-Dealership-In-Haryana.html$ http://carsizzler.com/news-detail/00183/Hindustan-Motors-Inaugurates-Mitsubishi-Range-Dealership-In-Haryana.html [NC,R=301,L]
But this doesn't seem to work. The redirection isn't working at all.

    Old URL's
    New URL
    Please help.

Your rule should be something like:
    RewriteRule ^/news-detail/001831090/Hindustan-Motors-Inaugurates-Mitsubishi-Range-Dealership-In-Haryana.html$ http://carsizzler.com/news-detail/00183/Hindustan-Motors-Inaugurates-Mitsubishi-Range-Dealership-In-Haryana.html [NC,R=301,L]
I wouldn't put too much effort into redirecting all of the old URLs just for Google or the other search engines. I'd only redirect the URLs that have incoming links from other websites, and let the rest go 404. If the old URLs now return 404 errors, they'll soon fall out of the index. The 'duplicate titles' warning in Webmaster Tools is just a notification. You're not going to be penalized for duplicate content within your own site in a situation like this. If you want to speed things up, you can use the URL Removal Tool to remove the old URLs.

Google crawls websites regularly so I wouldn't worry too much about it.

This happens when there has been significant change in any website.

What she will need the URL rewriting for his people's browser bookmarks.
--> JavaScript Frameworks like JQuery, Angular, Node <--
... and please remember to wrap code with forum BBCode tags:-

    [CODE]...[/CODE] [HTML]...[/HTML] [PHP]...[/PHP]

If you can't think outside the box, you will be trapped forever with no escape...
