    Check for condition and display result to the user

    How can i check for a condition in the if clause and call a function depending on the option chosen by the user

    There is no IF clause in HTML, indeed there isn't any variables to test with an IF clause anyway. If you are referring to JavaScript, there is good documentation available. Try here.

    JavaScript is likely to be V bad here. Too many of us turn the dang nuisance off or are using browsers that don't support it. Better to use some sort of server side scripting. What do you have available? PHP?

    You need to tell us more about what you are trying to do. JavaScript may be a good solution, or a server-based script may be best. But we need more details.
