    Wink Please Review:CoversForTheiPhone.com

    Cases For The iPhone

I've built a simple ecommerce site that sells a variety of cases and covers for the iphone.
The CMS used is WordPress with a number of other scripts and API integrations.

(Sorry, just noticed that I typed the wrong URL into the title, but it is not linked. The bold link above is correct and works.)

    Hi donatello,

I like your website very much.

I don't like a couple of things though.

The horizontal scrollbar shows up with 1366x768.
The "Page 1 of 2" style at the bottom is difficult to read.
Have you ever come across any website that loads images only as soon as you scroll down?
This is what is missing here IMO.
I didn't like having to wait for the browser to download all the images immediately.

    Hope this helps

    Thanks!

I have noticed that, good idea.
I followed up and saw that there were a couple of jQuery plugins that do that:
    Lazy Load
    Unveil

There is also a WordPress plugin to do that too.
    Lazy Load Wordpress Plugin
    Thanks for the tip.

    Cool

    NOSTRONZO!
Thank you so much for that critique...
    It was very helpful indeed!

I read it and went out to look for a way to do what you suggested and found the lazy load plugin for Wordpress. I installed it and went to visit my page and it is pure magic!
Check out the site now, I'm on a crappy wireless modem (since my son used up all my bandwidth this month!) and it loads as I scroll and fast as lightning now. The user experience is so much better!

People like you make forums like this great!
    Thanks again!

    Way better now IMO!

I assume you already optimized the images as much as you could?

The first HTTP request is not exactly fast but it's not slow either.
