    My First Web Application -- Please Review

    This site has been a developing idea for the last 2 years. It is built around the idea of creating new experiences you would like to explore and facilitating the process. I'd like to see some people get some use out of it.

    It's found at acressity.com

    I really like your design. It's clear, and the way you put the backgrounds is just unique. Beside the look, maybe you need a logo. When you view someone's profile, I see there is a form to submit comments. But there is no return bottom. I have to use the browser to go back. Same think with viewing pictures. For example http://acressity.com/photologue/photo/101/ here it's all good, but one you click on picture the browser displays it.

    Great job

    Thank you for your input. You pointed out an error I had in my logic wherein a non-logged in user can leave notes to those who are registered---whoops! I'm going to fix this within the next 3 minutes...until then this is quite a security vulnerability!

    Andrew, Hi!

    At the first moment I stumbled upon "exploration and expression of new experiences" - it looks like since my English is quite poor, I did not catch the meaning at once.

    If I understand correctly, you are proposing a kind of blog-platform, but with some changes to ideology: user should relate his stories not as one endless post, but rather as a set of "journeys" - each story is a journey.

    I think it is a good idea (If I understand correctly, again), however, perhaps you will find it important to "socialize" the platform in several ways:
    - adding votes (likes?);
    - adding comments (questions?);
    - adding user linking (friends).

    (BTW, with votes or likes you will be able to perform a kind of PR for your website in future, proposing some journey contest with some money as a prize)

    Design looks great, to me. I think I never could create something like this. However, there are few minor issues, like the following:
    - main menu has black letters on the dark-blue background - not great contrast;
    - http://acressity.com/experiences/1/ - text contrast here over text in background picture is not really nice too - though I think it is accidentally.

    Do you think it would be possible to split long articles in chapters, so that journey starts with contents of this journey?

    Hi Peak,

    The background image takes too long to open up, it should be optimized for the web.

    I would justify the text in the About pages, I think it would look a lot better.
