I am having an issue that I think relates to my .htaccess file. I am running Apache on Ubuntu 14.04.

When I type in my web address .thinksmartinc.com it works fine. If I add anything after the .com such as thinksmartinc.com/help the / between .com and help is eliminated and the resulting URL errors out and shows in the address bar like this thinksmartinc.comhelp. All I have to do for this to work is to add the slash back to the domain and press enter and it works ok the second time.

I am assumung the .htaccess is set to remove the slash, but I am not sure where that might be as I am no expert when .htaccess files. Below is the content from my current .htaccess file.

I appreciate anyone who can help point me in the right direction on this one.

thanks,

Rob
