    Help making website.

I am a total newbie to web development and i am a home user so i don't know the languages like HTML,CSS script etc.

I tried making website on free servers like Weebly but didn't like the feel, then tried many other sites but didn't like it much. Finally i found Wix,it is great in all aspects with every essential feature for a newbie like me to make a great website but what i didn't like is the URL of the site.It gives a very lengthy URL and it's not that easy to tell someone like saying that my URL is www.123.abc.com.

Then i came towards free web hosting sites,i found some very good ones who give 5GB free and hosting etc.But i don't know how to make them,no past experience and no languages known. This is not my field.
I tried Google, found that Adobe Muse,Dreamweaver make it easy but i couldn't understand them.
    I found Bluevoda,it's a free software,then i found WebEasy software.But here i want to ask you something.

Is there any possibility that if i find a free custom .CSS file, and then i load it in Bluevoda kind of software (1st of all do they allow it?) and then i start customizing it (will it be just simple drag and drop?).

AND after completing, what format it will give me so that i load it in cPanel.

Please help em in this regards,i will be very thankful to you.

I'm fairly certain you can pay for a custom domain through Wix.

You can load a template in a WYSIWYG editor, yes, but it isn't as easy as just drop it in and go. In general, templates are written by real people, so the code is written closer to standards, where WYSIWYG editors just kinda throw CSS at it haphazardly until it somewhat resembles the design. The problem here would be that taking code written by a human and trying to make adjustments in a WYSIWYG would break the template.

    Hello Awaisagha,

Its good to know that you're trying your hand in creating a website. Though there are a lot of website builders out there that will help you create your very own website without having much knowledge about the programming languages, personally I prefer WordPress. The reason fore this is that WordPress has a very easy-to-use dashboard, and you can focus all your energy in creating great content while WP takes care of the rest. If you're looking to start with a low investment, I'd suggest starting with WordPress.com (lets you host your site for free). You can also customize your domain names for a reasonable price.

But as your website and business grows, you can download the WP software and have your own website hosted with an external host. This will give you more flexibility to make changes on your site.

let me know if you need any more details. Would be happy to help

BlueVoda Editor may be free, but web pages made with it must be used on BlueVoda's server which "decrypts" the pages as they are loaded onto the server. there are many free web hosting sites that have very good web editors you can use and an option to use and customize any of the templates they offer. These good hosting sites also allow use of PHP/MySQL and may offer Wordpress to use. You just have to check the hosting features before signing up for an account.

As long as you do not pay for hosting services, you will not be able to host any personal domain name you have purchased.

I recommend you do the site yourself

    It may seem daunting but with all the free help tools on the web you will find it a breeze as well as quite fun. What I like about doing it yourself is twofold;

    1. Save a lot of money
    2. You are in control of your own website and what goes on.

You will find some great and free advice on YouTube on how to create a website. My choice when it comes to choosing a Content Management System is WordPress. It is easy to learn and easy to use with loads of free website themes to choose from

My choice when it comes to hosting services is Hostgator and Cyberegion with Hostgator my preference due to their 24/7/365 online phone support and great discounts.

Here are a couple of links that may be helpful:

I agree with what Peter has said. Hostgator is an awesome web host owing to its all-time available customer support. One word of caution, if you're looking to host your WordPress site, make sure that the web host has the adequate software to make the uploading and running of the site smooth. For instance, the web host needs to have a PHP version 5.2.4 or greater, and a MySQL version of 5.0 or greater. Also it helps if the host offers one-click installation of WP. Saves you from the hassle of trying to manually install it.
