Learnt the basics - what to do now?

I have just completed all the web development courses on codeacademy, so I know the basic syntax for HTML, CSS, JQuery, Javascript, PHP, Python and Ruby, but I still find myself having no idea how to make a website and I am here to ask if anybody has some advice on what to do now to work up the skillset ladder. My ultimate goal is to make an interactive website for my CV which I understand is a few weeks out at the moment but my problem is that I cannot see any clear way to get from what I know now to there.

So does anybody have any advice for me, a tutorial series on youtube, a forum with lots of tutorials of different skill levels, or even a story about you're journey in learning web development? Anything is really appreciated, I am a quick learner but am finding it quite hard to find a direction to follow.

    Thanks a lot!

    Some ideas:

    1. Create a hello world in all language you learned.

    2. Create a book inventory application containing book and author table.

    3. Create a blog engine.

Those three are very common examples for web development training and tutorials.

IMHO, you learn by doing, that is the quickest way.

You may want to take a look at installation of web server and database, usually mysql for your server.

    Good luck!

Learn by doing. Do you have a hobby or interest that you could build a site about? If so, build it!

You can also start a blog where you can share your knowledge with others through tutorial posts & informative articles.
