Isotope (Spaces between columns)
I have this isotope 3 columns grid and I would like to add (right and left) spaces between the columns. How can I achieve it ?
You can find my website here:
I'm building it on drupal but it doesn't matter. I should be able to do it with CSS.
So far, adding margins anywhere resulted in having only 2 columns displaying blocks and the third block pushed down the next row below.
I would really appreciate if someone could help me on this one. I've been trying for days !!!
You have to keep in mind that the space required to display an element is the sum of the 'width', 'margin', 'padding' and 'border' settings. So when you add a margin, you need to decrease one of the other settings (generally, the 'width') in order to maintain the element's page dimensions.
First and foremost thanks for you help Rick.
I tried it all again with no success unfortunately. Somehow changing the width size to auto or any px or % size has no impact on my element's width.
Anyhow, you help is really appreciated.
I'll wait another day to see if someone can help me with this post.
It might have something to do with your positions being absolute; only position absolute if absolutely necessary.
Thanks kralxc. I finally figure it out !!!
