Hi Guys

I am using the following script to display pricing from my database in a table dependent upon the selection from the drop down box by the end user. The script works great. However my issue is that I would like the first option in each drop down to be viewable when the page loads. For example: The page loads with the pricing data for the first select id's in the drop down.

I hope I have explained this correctly. If you need further information let me know. And please feel free to talk to me like an imbecile as my java-script skills are poor

Javascript -
Code:
<script type="text/javascript">
function showUser()
{
var user = document.getElementById("user").value;
var type = document.getElementById("type").value;
var finish = document.getElementById("finish").value;

if (finish=="")
  {
  document.getElementById("txtHint").innerHTML="";
  return;
  }
if (window.XMLHttpRequest)
  {// code for IE7+, Firefox, Chrome, Opera, Safari
  xmlhttp=new XMLHttpRequest();
  }
else
  {// code for IE6, IE5
  xmlhttp=new ActiveXObject("Microsoft.XMLHTTP");
  }
xmlhttp.onreadystatechange=function()
  {
  if (xmlhttp.readyState==4 && xmlhttp.status==200)
        {
        document.getElementById("txtHint").innerHTML=xmlhttp.responseText;
        }
  }
xmlhttp.open("GET","getuser.php?q="+user+"&t="+type+"&f="+finish,true);
xmlhttp.send();
}
</script>
HTML -
