    Problems with getting text to popup when I hover over an image

    I'm trying to create a text box to show when I hover over an image. I could use span but I wanted larger text. People can read it a bit easier!

    I've tried a fiddle and it hasn't work. I've played with the idea and still am at a loss.

    the html code is;

    HTML Code:
    <div class="postage"> <!--- This is the image to hover over --->
    <p>Postage rates per order &nbsp;&nbsp;
    <a><img src="http://what-do-christians-believe.co.uk/wdcb-images/post.png"></a>
    </div>

    <div=class="Postage-2"> <!--- The text to hide and to show on hover . this is displayed permanently -->
    <p><b>Our Postage Rates</b></p>
    Our standard post is first class post (airmail) per order.<br/>
    We can also offer registered post with tracking.</p>
    <p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Standard &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Registered</p>
    <p>Europe&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;3.50&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;10.50<br/>
    Rest of the world&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;5.50&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;1.350</p>
    </div>
    the css code is;

    Code:
    .postage {font-family: comic sans ms;
               font-size: 1.00em;
               color: black;
              }

    .postage-2 {display: none;}

    .postage img a:hover + postage-2 {display: block;}
    My url is here

    How can I get this to work? or is there a better way achieve what I want?

    Don't know if this helps, but <div=class="Postage-2"> should probably be
    <div class="postage-2">

    Case CoUnTs. "Postage-2" is not the same as "postage-2". The extra equals sign (=) was also not helping...

    In addition:
    <link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="http://what-do-christians-believe.co.uk/try-this.js"/>
    is totally wrong. Javascript is not CSS so it should either be:
    <script src="http://what-do-christians-believe.co.uk/try-this.js"/></script>
    or
    <link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="http://what-do-christians-believe.co.uk/try-this.css"/>

    Thanks for the pointers. I did spot the = errors. I also changed them but it didn't work.

    I've changed the js script line as well.

    Earlier I tried to do this with 2 images. The problem was that the text went fuzzy and almost unreadable when I converted it to a ping file.

    I've just managed to work out a work round for this. Having written the text I saved it as a pdf file and imported that into my photo editing software. From there I cut and pasted it and saved it as a png. The results are much sharper but it shows the text boxes from the publishing software. It's a bit late now, 02.00 in the morning but tomorrow I will try rewriting the text in word and saving it as a pdf file.

    Your welcome. That is only a short list. There are some great ones out there which I didn't check out yet.
