Link building the right way in 2014

Link building, if done correctly, isn't cheap or easy. If your objective is to improve a website's visibility in organic search results, then relevant links are still the best way to do so in 2014. But you'll need to invest and avoid link schemes.

Very true, Google has announced that link building is still working to maintain site quality But these links should be of reliable, generic and quality content.

When you say Invest what do you mean? Just curious...

I agree about link building but I'm confused on the investing part.

Invest means to buy links from Sellers but to avoid link schemes.

Building quality and relevant backlinks helps a lot in improving the ranking of a website.

Link building is still a good method for website promotion.

Link Building well after some of the recent Google Updates, link building is not the case right or can say correct and natural link building should be your priority. For ex If you do have 400 back links but they are not from the relevant and quality sources they worth nothing but If you have say 200 back links but each link is from some reputable, relevant and quality sites then its worth everything. So do link building but don't forget that it must be natural and not just the crap.

Relevant link from quality sites is valuable, irrelevant links is not any value. Link building is still a best method for website promotion.

I think the basic concept that we should follow is, be away form duplicate content posting on forum, blog, and article submission websites.
