    Instant Messenger HELP

I am creating a custom backend for a custom project management system for my company. I am using HTML5, PHP, and MySQL to develop this backend.

I am only unaware how to create one section of my outline. I do not know what language is required to create an Instant Messenger between my users??

What is the easiest way to add Instant Messenger between my users into my custom backend?

What language should I use to create Instant Messenger?

    Any advice is appreciated!

    Thank you

jWebSocket is open source and based on the Apache license so you're free to use it without charge. It works using HTML5 WebSockets and falls back on a Java client for communication for compatibility purposes. The server is also Java-based. Using the HTTP protocol for these types of communications wastes many resources and doesn't perform as good as always-open TCP connections such as HTML5 WebSockets. The server could be programmed in either Java or Java-interpreted JavaScript. The client could be programmed in just about any language.
