    The guys above are right, Image alt tags are going to be useful, next is to submit it on photo submission site, where in one can also add up needed keywords and descriptions.

    It makes your page load faster for people looking at it.
    You can fit more images into a limited space.

    Image optimization was very important. Optimizing images for web means making the images smaller so they load faster. This can be done easily by:
    Stripping Meta data from JPEGs
    Optimizing JPEG compression
    Converting certain GIFs to indexed PNGs
    Stripping the un-used colors from indexed images
