    resolved [RESOLVED] Do JavaScript project to improve my skills.

    Hi,

    I want to JavaScript project(including html, css) to improve my skills. What is the best way?
    I have the book "Professional JavaScript for Web Developers". And I am currently do problems at http://projecteuler.net/.However it primarily focus on the algorithm and math skills.

    My final goal is that I can write a chrome extension in the future. My near target to master DOM etc.

    I just think is there a homework/project something like therefore I can exercise it.

    Pick an area of interest and write a library that contains shortcuts/widgets for dealing with common tasks in that area. You don't need a big application to work on that way. You can polish on individual components and you learn how to do relatively small tasks which will help you to acquire skills for bigger projects, and you will have your own library that will help you do it.

    I an not a web developer. I wish that somebody proposes an idea for me.

    Not so long time ago one user posted a thread if someone can build the stopwatch for him. It has to have start/stop function, time stop/resume functionality, debugger, countdown option... It seems to me like a nice challenge...

    Writing a chrome extension is not that big task if you are master in html and javascript.
