CMS systems are very diverse and therefore you will find a direct answer near on impossible because some software that calls itself CMS software is more of a framework that is designed for rapid deployment, others are full systems that offer many features but can be complex to use.
You are better off looking at how often you will be adding items / content to the site, will it be a personal blog type or a newspaper type where you have a professional layout or a general purpose framework type that offers flexible editing of each page you create.
So it really is best to plan out what you are trying to achieve and then search for CMS software and shortlist those that fit your needs.
