    Javascript { }

    Hi,

    I need clarification.In my website there is javascript code

    here is the code,

    if (name == CDL || { })

    Can anyone help me what is mean by { }?

    {} is an object literal. All objects converts to boolean true. In other words this statement will always evaluate to true regardless of name beeing equal CDL or not.

    They could have just as easily used true but I figure typing two extra characters was a bit too much to ask...
    STOP using $ prefix on JavaScript variable names...
    Please remember to wrap any code you have in forum tags:-

    [CODE]...[/CODE] [HTML]...[/HTML] [PHP]...[/PHP]

    If you can't think outside the box, you will be trapped forever with no escape...
