    Open Dialog Box When Page Loads Up??

    When I click on a link, it opens up a dialog box.
    How do I get it to open when the page loads up??

    Here's my code:

    Code:
    <!DOCTYPE html>
    <head><title></title>

    <style>
    /* Takes over the whole display once activated via :target. */
    .pop-up {position:absolute; top:0; left:-500em}
    .pop-up:target {position:static; left:0;}

    .popBox {
    	background:#ffffff;
    	position:absolute; left:30%; right:30%; top:30%; bottom:30%;
    	z-index:1;

    }
    :target .popBox {position:fixed; opacity:1;}

    .lightbox {display:none; text-indent:-200em; background:#000; opacity:0.4; width:100%; height:100%; position:fixed; top:0; left:0; bottom:0; right:0;}
    :target .lightbox {display:block}

    </style>
    </head>

    </head>
    <body>

    <a href="#pop2">Open Modal</a>

    <div id="pop2" class="pop-up">
    	<div class="popBox">
    		<h2>Pop-up</h2>
    		<p>Blah, blah, blah. Yada, yada, yada.</p>
    	</div>
    	<a href="#links" class="lightbox">Back to links</a>
    </div>

    </body>
    </html>
    I tried:
    Code:
    <body onload="pop2">
    <body href="#pop2">
    but none of these works.

    I think I would need to write a javascript function for window.onload but I do not know how to go about doing this.
    I think I lost a few of my years trying to figure this one out.

    here you can try something like this
    code:
    <!DOCTYPE html>
    <head><title></title>

    <style>
    /* Takes over the whole display once activated via :target. */
    .pop-up {position:absolute; top:0; left:-500em}
    .pop-up:target {position:static; left:0;}

    .popBox {
    background:#ffffff;
    position:absolute; left:30%; right:30%; top:30%; bottom:30%;
    z-index:1;

    }
    :target .popBox {position:fixed; opacity:1;}

    .lightbox {display:none; text-indent:-200em; background:#000; opacity:0.4; width:100%; height:100%; position:fixed; top:0; left:0; bottom:0; right:0;}
    :target .lightbox {display:block}

    </style>
    <script>
    function myFunction()
    {
    document.getElementById("pop2").className = "popBox";
    }
    function removeed()
    {
    document.getElementById("pop2").className = "pop-up";
    document.getElementById("xd").style.background = "#fff";
    }
    </script>
    </head>

    </head>
    <body id='xd' onclick='removeed()' style="background:#525252" onload="myFunction()">
    <a href="#pop2">Open Modal</a>
    <div id="pop2" class="pop-up" >
    <div id='x' class="popBox">
    <h2>Pop-up</h2>
    <p>Blah, blah, blah. Yada, yada, yada.</p>
    </div>
    <a id='back' href="#links" class="lightbox">Back to links</a>
    </div>

    </body>
    <html>

    Its simple with jQuery, just use this code inside your <head> tag...

    [code]
    <script src="//ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/1.11.0/jquery.min.js"></script>
    <script>
    jQuery(document).ready(function($){
    $('#pop2').fadeIn();

    })
    </script>
    [code]
