    2 css style sheets. how to remedy conflicting styles?

    I have 2 stylesheets (say style1.css and style2.css).

    style1.css has
    a {color:#333; text-decoration:underline;}
    style2.css has
    a {color:#fff; text-decoration:none;}
    For some reason style2.css overrides style1.css (even though style1.css is called before style2.css in the code), and I want the links on the pages to be white with no underline.

    So, I did this to solve the issue:

    a {color:#fff !important; text-decoration:none !important;}
    Using the !important worked. Is that an acceptable solution? Thoughts?
