Angry There is something wrong with my CSS but i cant find it

A few days ago i made a webpage, using this as a reference, that was working fine. I accidently deleted it and have had to redo it from scratch. Somehow, this time i am having problems, this is what it looks like now. http://i57.tinypic.com/2vttnhs.png. i highlighted it using chrome so you could see how it is messed up. the links are being shown below the position of the actual "div"

It's impossible to diagnose the issue from an image. Post the page somewhere where people can see exactly what you have done.

    1. Your menu has <p> inside <a> inside <li>. Try replacing <p> </p> with <span> </span>.
    2. validate your code, then see what problems remain!

    postscript

    In the CSS:
    3. You make reference to the class navBar without declaring it. I'm not sure if that works.
    4. There is code which, as far as I can see, at best does nothing, and at worst is invalid. The rest is overly verbose. Clear out everything that you do not know why it is there, and see what happens!

Are you able to show us a version up online on hosting? This would make it a lot easier for us to help.
