    Text disappears in Chrome for home page

    Hi guys,

    Been struggling for hours to figure this problem out:

    When my browser cache is cleared and I go for the first time to http://www.woodenpalette.com
    I see my site but no text is visible. This ONLY happens in Chrome...windows 7

    When I hover at the top the menu appears and when I click on one link...bingo...all text is back.

    I moved this wordpress site from yahoo to Godaddy and since Ive done this I had this problem...among others.

    I did not change the CSS inside the theme.

    Any advice would be helpful!

    Thank you
    Henk

    It looks fine for me? I would check your chrome plugins, seems localized?

    This is so bizarre to me since another person pointed out that it works fine. I have two computers here next to each other and both are doing this. What plugins are you talking about?

    Although I responded to another thread of yours, I viewed the webpage again and all the content loaded except for your menus. Upon refreshing the page, everything including the menus were visible and the links worked, however, I did not have the same issue of all text turning black. I reloaded the page in a new tab using Chrome a few more times and the JavaScript loaded each time (i.e. the banner picture of a dog, house, forest and other paintings changed). I would take a look and see how is your menu being rendered since it loads each time using IE (add-ons disabled).

    I checked your website and it seems the problem is still there.

    I'm having the same problem on www.sisuk-sabis.net.

    For some reason the text re-appears when you hit F12 twice on Chrome.

    After searching further into the problem, it seems Chrome has a bug when loading 2 different fonts on the same page.
    The developer are said to be working on it, let's hope they fix it soon

    I have not been able to solve this problem yet. I have come across where Chrome developers are discussing the issue and it seems to be a problem with the latest Chrome update. Some other developers are also having the issue where text are invisible.

    I cannot recall where I read this....there is a long thread about the issue.

    Is this with custom fonts? I haven't ever come across this issue personally.

    There's an easy fix. Please refer to http://stackoverflow.com/questions/2...y-text-anymore

    The code is:

    Code:
    <script type="text/javascript" charset="utf-8">

     $(function() { $('body').hide().show(); });
    </script>

    And in a smooth way :

    <script type="text/javascript" charset="utf-8">
    $(function() { $('body').hide().fadeIn(300); });
    </script>
