    setAttribute error

    This code has worked for the longest time, but now has failed.
    I get this message:Unable to get property 'setAttribute' of undefined or null reference.

    I cant work this out for the life of me.

    <javascript>

    var cDrag = DragDrops.length;
    DragDrops[cDrag] = [];

    /*
    Each item passed to this function should be a "container". Store each
    of these items in our current container
    */
    for(var i=0; i<arguments.length; i++){
    var cObj = arguments[i];
    DragDrops[cDrag].push(cObj);
    cObj.setAttribute('DropObj', cDrag);
    </javascript>

    It would appear that the fault lies in what is being passed as arguments to the function. What collects the element references and how?
