    Problem creating a Date() object

    This worked just fine the other day.

    For some reason, it no longer works.

    var start = new Date("01/12/2014");

    I get "invalid date" when inspecting the start variable.

    ???

    Well, it might just be your code is broken.

    I tried this

    Code:
    var start = new Date("01/12/2014");

    console.log(">>>"+ start.toGMTString() );
    and out popped

    You are correct.

    It turned out that the code was broken in another area due to the removal of a couple of html elements that was referenced in the script.

    Javascript is such a strange language in how a small oversight can work its way back to something not even related, such as my Date() code.

    Thanks.
