    Need help with HTML Template

Ok I have a template that is written in HTML/CSS/JS/Bootstrap. here is the link to the template I am using. http://themeforest.net/item/social-n...mplate/6767145

I have a fair amount of knowledge in HTML, but nothing else. I contacted the owner of the template about installation, and this was the response I received. "this is a HTML/CSS theme that you need to implement onto your own system (PHP/ASP/RUBY etc). This theme is not installable as a Wordpress Theme, you need HTML/CSS knowledge to start working with this template".

My question is how would I go about doing something like this? What are the benefits? how does this all come together? and what would be recommended system to use? Php, python, or ruby? Please explain in noob language, because I am fairly new to the web development community and I want to be pointed in the right direction. Thanks.

Basically, you need to be familiar with Bootstrap, which is a JavaScript framework, in which you say the template is written. The framework presumably allows the web page to be configured to meet a variety of needs.

Using a framework allows you to create a functional web site with little or no knowledge of the technicalities. They are therefore a boon to novices and people who are more interested in the design and commercial aspects. However, sooner or late you are likely to want to implement a feature not directly supported by the framework as-is. You then may have to choose one or more of the following options:

    a) Obtain an add-on from the supplier for the framework. This may be expensive.

    b) Add a freebie bit of code you found on the web. This can be a disaster, with conflicts between different libraries. And, of course, the author of the framework will wash his hands of it.

    c) Switch to a different framework. That may mean virtually starting again from scratch!

    d) Learn how to build it yourself. This can be a daunting task, given the extensive code that the framework allows you to implement without any idea of what it is doing! Plus the code itself, being machine generated, may not be particularly intelligible anyway!
