    No doubt, Page likes will promote your brand but it will not effect your ranking that much.
    If you can focus on social sharing then, it may results in the improvement of your site's ranking.

    Not at all! Try to read Matt Cutts blog- Clearly said that only dofollow backlinks helps to rank in serps. Social links won't be helpful.
