    Showing error message instead of success on success

    Code:
    $("#boton_enviar").click(function() {
    	$.ajax({
    		type: "POST",
    		url: '/etiquetas/enviar',
    		data: $('#formulario').serialize(),
    		dataType: "json",
    		error: function(data) {
    			document.getElementById('alert').innerHTML = 'document.getElementById('alert').innerHTML = '<div class="alert alert-danger"><strong>No</strong> se mando el formulario.</div>';
    		},
    		success: function(data) {
    			document.getElementById('alert').innerHTML = '<div class="alert alert-success"><strong>Si</strong> se mando correctamente el formulario.</div>';
    		}
    	});
    });
    as far as i can see there is nothing visibly wrong with this code and the routes and controller function correctly, anyone see an error?

    Try asking in the JQuery (JavaScript frameworks) forum because thats what you have, a framework not JavaScript!

    STOP using $ prefix on JavaScript variable names...
    Please remember to wrap any code you have in forum tags:-

    [CODE]...[/CODE] [HTML]...[/HTML] [PHP]...[/PHP]

    If you can't think outside the box, you will be trapped forever with no escape...
