    Fractions

    Hmmm....

Okay first-timer here, hoping someone can help.

I'm currently developing a website to support my students on an AS-level Mathematics program, and am looking for an easy HTML solution for writing fractions.

At the moment I'm just looking for simple fractions like 1/49, or 9/2, but if there is something that could extend to more complicated algebraic fractions, then that would be good.

I can think of two solutions atm, but both sound overly complicated for something as simple as fractions. The first is to use a small table, the second to drop in pictures of the fractions. I don't like either of them.

    TIA

    Adrian.

This looks like a job for Math Markup Language (MathML). See http://www.w3.org/Math/.
