    Question about page loading

My page's full url is /.../file.aspx.
I want to allow the user not to type the ".aspx" ending and still be able to load the page. How can I do it?

If you name file index.aspx, your link can be only somefolder/ and in url bar will be displayed like this: http://www.example.com/somefolder/

Thank you both for your responce but the problem is that "file"="user name" for every user so I can't use "index".
About mod rewrite can you please explain more.
    Thank you again.

Yea, I'd like to hear about using mod rewrite on an IIS server, too.
