Quick question about an unfamiliar file format

My uncle from Switzerland sent me an email with an attachment which contained a image in a format I cannot open.

It is in a "pps" format, does anyone know what this is? I suspect it is a file format for the European version of Photoshop..but I could be (and most likely am) wrong.

Is there a way to convert or open it somehow or am I just outta luck here?

That's probably a PowerPoint file. If you don't have PowerPoint (if you can't open it, I assume this is the case), go to Microsoft. You can download a free PowerPoint viewer directly from them. If that doesn't work, why not post the file here & let someone convert it to a format you can use?
