    Question hey im new to website can someone help me

    Hey i got a couple of questions for anyone out there. How do i promt a download box and what is the code for it and can someone look over my site and tell me what you think of it and how i can make it better. i know that some of the games on the arcade page dont work but other than that i need some help with the over all look and content of the page. thanks.

    1. get a better host - geocities is rubbish (mostly because of the adverts)

    2. your site is not valid html

    3. whats with the hundreds of words at the bottom of your page?

    4. having to wait for the menu to appear is quite annoying

    5. when i increase text size to largest, the text goes into the right column over the image of what page i am in

    what type of file are you trying to prompt a download for?

    I think you would have to use a serverside language, and geocities dont support any.

    dude, you don't need to do anything. Just put the file in your geocities account, and put a link to it on your page. Tell the person that to download it, right-click it and save as. I have seen many sites do this. Of course they can click it to preview it on their browser.

    here i uploaded a base template that you could make your site look like i think it looks a bit better the way i designed it, its up to your if you would like to use the template or the colour scheeme etc its a txt file rename it to a .htm file to view it

    thanks you all for all of you help. i apreciate it and to De Rango could you modify the template a little more i kinda see what you mean but not entierly but other than that i like what i see so far on it.

    wont the download box show up when you click on a non-browser viewable file?
